About

Dan On Tour

I’m just a bloke who loves football.

I’ve never really grown up when it comes to the game. I’m in my 40s now, but put me on a football concourse and I’m 18 again. There’s just something about football that never gets old – the journeys, the pubs, the fans, the atmosphere and the memories you make along the way.

Dan On Tour came about because I wanted to get involved in content creation, but also because I wanted to combine it with something I already do. I run several football-related websites selling ultras-inspired stickers and flags, so to me it just made sense.

It’s the best of both worlds. I get to promote my businesses, create content and, most importantly, have a laugh and make memories while doing it.

So, What’s Dan On Tour All About?

The idea is simple.

When I am not watching Manchester City! Yes, I am a long time City fan and season ticket holder, but I don’t really get dibs on too many away matches so when City are away from home I’ll be travelling up and down the country reviewing football grounds from a fan’s point of view. I’ll be rating the away ends, stadiums, facilities, atmosphere, food, value for money and the overall matchday experience.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be visiting plenty of home ends too, but if I’m honest, away days are where football is at its best. The travelling, the banter, the pubs and everything else that comes with being a football fan.

Whether it’s the Premier League, League Two or non-league, every club has its own story, and I want to experience as many as I can.

More Than Just Football

I enjoy a beer… well, actually, I enjoy more than one, especially if there’s decent food involved.

I love travelling around the UK and Europe watching football, visiting new cities, ticking grounds off the list and meeting people along the way.

Some trips will be brilliant, some will be awful, and I’ll tell you exactly what I think either way.

I’m not here to pretend every ground is amazing or every pie deserves five stars. If something’s rubbish, I’ll say it’s rubbish. If it’s brilliant, I’ll tell you why.

That’s About Enough About Me…

I’m no professional blogger, and I’m definitely not trying to be the next big football YouTuber. I’m just a normal football fan sharing my experiences, one game at a time.

If you’re into football, away days, ground hopping, travelling and honest opinions from someone who’s there because they genuinely love the game, then hopefully you’ll enjoy following along.

Hopefully I’ll bump into a few of you along the way. If you see me at a game, come over and say hello. I’m always up for a chat… and a pint. 🍻⚽
